Beginning PADI Open Water Diver Course
Begin at home, Finish on Maui.
Through our PADI, Home Study Program you will begin your diving class at home prior to your trip to Hawaii. You
begin by reviewing the CD-ROM, Home Study guide. The Home Study guide takes most divers from 8 to 10 hours total
study time. Upon completion of the Home Studies you will be ready for the pool & ocean training portions of the program.
We can arrange training to fit your scheduled dates on Maui. Our training sessions are kept small so you will
receive a lot of personalized attention and we know you will have a lot of fun.
If you live near one of our sister 'Scuba Schools Group' training centers in the Seattle / Tacoma
area, or the San Francisco Bay area, you have the choice of beginning the pool training at home, prior to your
trip to Maui. Our pool training session will require one session of approximately 4 hours.
If it is not convenient for you to participate in the pool training prior to your trip to Maui, you
can do the confined water (pool) training and ocean training both during your stay on Maui. On Maui our "pool" is
a beautiful ocean lagoon with plenty of marine life that will intrigue you from the very beginning.
Once that is completed you will move on to recreational dive sites in the beautiful waters of Maui. All
of our Maui dives are done at popular dive sites regularly used for recreational diving activities. During the course you
will see the best diving the Hawaiian Islands has to offer.
If you begin the pool training with one of our Scuba Schools Group members prior to your trip to Maui,
completion of the open water training dives will require two days. If you plan on completing all "pool" and ocean
training on Maui, you will need to alot three days for the diving activities.
When the diving activities have been successfully completed you will be issued the PADI Open Water Diver
certification, the most widely recognized and respected diver certification in the world today.
