Here is information on all of our Advanced Open Water Diver & Rescue Diver Courses.

Advanced Open Water Diver Course

This is the second of the PADI Core courses.

You will begin with study of the PADI Adventures in Diving Manual at home prior to your trip to Maui.  Once on Maui, the Advanced Course includes two core dives and three elective dives. An experience oriented course, the focus of this course is to give the Open Water Diver exposure to techniques and experiences beyond that of the entry level diver.

The Open Water Diver Course made you familiar with the dive gear and gave you the basic knowledge needed to start diving.  The Advanced Open Water Course goes way beyond that beginning and gives you a greater level of experience and diver training.  It makes you much more aware of the environment around you and prepares you to venture beyond the limits of the Open Water Certification.

Included is a two tank boat dive at Molokini off the South West coast of Maui.  The most popular dive site in Hawaii.

The 2 core dives consist of a Navigation Dive and a Deep Dive.  For the 3 remaining electives you may choose from a broad range of dives options including: Night Dive, Boat Dive, Drift Dive & Underwater Photography.

Completion of the Advanced Open Water course certifies the diver to conduct dives to the limits experienced during the Advanced Open Water course including dives to the recreational recommended limit of 100 ft.

Tuition:$250/diver

PADI Adventures in Diving Manual:$33

Total:$283/diver.

Rescue Diver Course

The third of the PADI core courses, the Rescue Diver Course, expands your knowledge of diving and makes you more aware of what is happening with the other divers around you in the diving environment.

The course begins through home study of the Rescue Diver Manual, prior to your trip to Maui.  On Maui the water training develops the necessary knowledge and skills for you to effectively perform diver rescues and assists, manage diving accident situations and render proper first aid.

Rescue Diver certification is an important prerequisite for the Divemaster rating, the first professional diver rating, and the distinguished Master Scuba Diver rating, the highest nonprofessional rating in scuba diving. Most importantly, rescue training can help you save lives and increase diving's already excellent safety record by preparing you to respond properly to diving emergencies and near emergencies.

Must be Advanced Open Water certified in order to participate in the Rescue Diver Course.

Current certification in CPR is also required for participation in the program.  If you are not certified in CPR, we can include a CPR program in the Rescue Diver Course for you.

Tuition:$225

PADI Rescue Diver Manual:$31.00

Total:$256/diver
